Eleanor Roosevelt girls vs. VA All-Star girls at Gala in national record DMR attempt

Big news in a recent development for the second annual MileStat.com Elite Track Gala to be held on Saturday, June 9th in Richmond, Virginia at Sports Backers Stadium is the committment of the nationally caliber track program at Eleanor Roosevelt in Maryland bringing in their top girls to go after the 2004 national high school distance medlrey relay record of 11:33.43 set by Bay Shore High School of New York. They will be part of a special final event at the Gala in with an All-Star DMR being contested as the meet's final event. It is going to take an All-Star relay out of the Virginians to run with the Eleanor Roosevelt girls as they are coming off a huge win at the Penn Relays in the 4x800 meter relay in which the girls from Greenbelt, Maryland recorded a US #3 all-time performance of 8:51.19. Meet director Brandon Miles will be actively recruiting top talent for the All-Star DMR as well as the other events for the Gala from now until the meet's date on June 9th.

Best Chance For an All-Star Virginia Squad

1200m Paige Johnston, Midlothian(Strongest range at 800/1600/3200 in the state)

400m Bethany Hyter,(Best finisher and performer under pressure explosive running in the lead or comming from behind)(Keep Barr or Rudolph from Deep Creek on Standby--Hyter's 200,400,4x1, 4x4,TJ,and LJ may drain her by seasons end)

800m Kerry Hartman, Westfield(Most consitent performer at this distance)

1600m Catherine White, Northside(Solid performer every time)

Take a look at the Southern Track Calssic Results...They validate my assessment a couple of days ago about the best all-star team VA could assemble to take on the ER girls in the distance medly. Paige Johnston, Bethany Hyter, and Catherine White all turned in all-star performances and these athletes are consistant performers

what an awesome matchup! The winner will need 54-55 400, 2:12-2:14 800, 5:00 1600...3:40ish 1200? not sure on the 1200. Can VA do it? My audience says NO WAY! haha, it's interesting. It's not as biased as you might think. Wow, are you serious? The VA squad will really need to bring their "A" game if the ER squad puts up numbers like that. Didn't know the ER team rolled like that. I really don't have access to much data on the individual times for the ER team.

Tasha Stanley has ran 2:09 this spring in the open 800 for ER and Marika Walker (their 1600 leg) has ran 2:10. Tameka Jameson split 2:09 on their SMR at NON last year and Dominique Lockhart has split 2:12. Tameka Jameson is their quarter miler with a 54 second best in the open (I bet she's capable of 53 on relays). Her twin Takecia, is a 42 second 300H and is not far behind as far a 400 leg...so they have some options. Marika Walker went 5:00 for 1600 meters indoors at MD State Meet, but split a 4:57.2 at Arcadia in the DMR.

Huume, back to the drawing board on this one, strategy will be the key. Will they go head to head? or will there be one or more other teams on the track? That could make a difference.
