#19: Maggie Walker Dominates The State!

The Green Dragons were impossible to beat this year and completed one of the most dominant years in our sport's history, regardless of classification! The 2014-15 Green Dragon squad featured more then just distance runners but also an eclectic bunch of scorers from the vaults to the jumps to the hurdlers and every place in between. The biggest stars for them were Ryan Buscaglia, Emma Call, Khloe Pointer, and the queen of the points Shanthi Hiremath.

These six teams accumulated six state team titles to bring home likely the first ever double-triple crown in the state's history. A lot of people make the argument that their dominance is only because they are in a lower classification but if you look at their team historically you can see that they are competitors and have more AAA state team titles then 95% of the teams out there! These teams were stacked with talent and depth that could place them highly in any classification in the state.

It is also very impressive to see sustained success as such a small school where the coaches are pulling from a fraction of the student body that the larger schools have with increased academic restrictions as well. The 2014-15 Green Dragons squad was one of the best and because of their dominance winning both triple crowns are out #19 moment of the year.
