Lets Try This Again: 3A/4A Team Title & Remaining Events Preview!

4A Girls

This team title race is just like those primaries that need to be recounted first... it is way too close to call. Heading back into competition the Hilltoppers of E.C. Glass who were the indoor champions lead the way with 41 points but have a whole lot of company outdoors.

Still waiting to be contested is the 800, 200 final, and 4x400. In these races E.C. Glass fairs pretty well considering they have the top two seeds in the 800 and the top seeded 4x400 entering the competition. Though that may be the case, they do not have any room for missteps.

Rennyson and DeCarmo lead E.C. Glass into the 800 as the first event back on the track. Lafayette has two potential scorers in Crookston and Chavez and Midlothian also has two potential scorers in Levitch and Ferguson in the 800. Depending on how that plays out, E.C. Glass should open a wider lead but how much of a lead is open to interpretation.

Though the 800 will definitely be the deciding factor here, the 200 will also have some big say in this team title. Midlothian has two finalists and Great Bridge has the top seed leading into the finals which means we have to include them into consideration as well. Churchland also has some big points at stake meaning the gap between 1-5 could really tighten after this race.

The final event on the track will be the 4x400s. E.C. Glass, Midlothian, and Lafayette all have teams to be run in the seeded section which means this meet will end the right way, on the track. Glass enters as the top seed but Midlo and Lafayette are very close behind.

Depending on who saved a little bit for those races, it could be a very interesting finish to this meet.
