Olympian & National Record Holders Join Jamaicans at VA Showcase

For the first time in United States history, a Jamaican team will run a relay indoors. This team, St. Jago brings with them a stacked squad of girls who should not only contend for this title but also make a serious run at the World Youth Record in the 4x200.

They will have some very strong competition from the Bullis School, Western Branch, and Grassfield who has Lauryn Ghee the nation's fastest 200m runner (22.97) on their squad. The list doesn't stop there with Parkland, Elizabeth Seton, Nansemond River, Southeast Raleigh, and quite a few more also slated to compete. 

The Girls' distance medley also has the potential to be a national record breaker. Lake Braddock Secondary is considering this event in an attempt of a national record bid and could face some tough competition from Patriot, E.C. Glass, Cardinal Gibbons, Blacksburg, and George C. Marshall if they choose to enter this event. 

The boys' relays will also be very fast with Western Branch, Potomac Senior, Lee-Davis and others all ready for a huge season.
