In his first USATF Indoor National Championships he not only took home a national title but also the world record in the event with his 31.87 clocking. That betters Olympian Wallace Spearman's 2006 31.88 clocking.

Noah ran out of lane 5, the ideal lane after having run the fastest time in prelims (32.16). This victory was also in no small part thanks to his .171 reaction time.
