Just two days after fortifying her college future at Texas A & M University with a signing ceremony inside Rush Henrietta (NY) High, Sammy Watson followed with a bang at the Victor Twilight Invitational.
The future Aggie pocketed a US No. 3 time of 2:05.71 in the 800m, out kicking the next closest competitor by 23 seconds.
At this pace last year, Watson posted a 2:06.61 at the Glenn Loucks Games and ultimately cut four seconds off that time by June at the USATF Junior National Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Watson could chase the outdoor high school girls national record of 1:59.51 by Mary Cain back in 2013.
