So Much Action It Took 3 Days Last Year: 3A & 4A State Meet Preview

Meet Page - Performance List - Virtual Meet

Last year the meet was so good it took an additional day to get all of those awesome finishes in. This year though we are expecting and slightly hoping for a more exciting condensed version of that meet. Even though it came down to the wire in almost all the team competitions last year, this year could be just as close and exciting.

In the 3A Girls competition Phoebus, Blacksburg, Tabb, Western Albemarle and I.C. Norcom will all be vying for the title. Over on the boys side it will be Blacksburg, Tabb, and a very strong Phoebus team.

In the 4A competition things are just as close on the boys side between Grafton, Heritage, William Fleming, and favorites Loudoun Valley. But in the girls competition things are currently lopsided in E.C. Glass' favor as they enter the meet as strong favorites. Midlothian, Deep Creek, and Chancellor will all be looking for them to slip-up and capitalize on that falter.

Though the 3A/4A State Meet is not as deep as the 5A/6A competition, the top tier athletes here could hold their own against any other classification in the state. Entering the weekend in fact many of these athletes rank inside the top three in the state and after this weekend will lead the state in their respective events. You cannot miss the excitement this weekend.
