The 4A classification will be the toughest battle of talented individuals and teams in the entire nation this year. It not only features the NXN pre-season favorite team but also a staggering group of five guys looking to run under 15:10 this year. The one leading the way into the season is Price Owens of Grafton.
Heading into this historic season Price will need to be on his "A" game though as he will have tough competition from the Loudoun Valley front four of Affolder, Morris, Bogucki, and Hunter. Price though is well prepared thru his training and drive after finishing 3rd and 2nd in the past two XC state meets.
This season, after finishing 10th and advancing to Foot Locker Nationals last year, Price will be focusing more on XC States to bring home that state title. If he were to win, it would be his second state title behind his indoor 3200m title.
At the Blue Ridge Running Camp this past week Price definitely showed his strength and ability by finishing first on both the Blue Hole and Reddish Knob runs.
