Due To Injury, VA's Only Undefeated Athlete Will Not Be Competing at States

The coaching staff tried everything they could to get her ready for states and the season but unfortunately sometimes injury strikes. That was the case this season with John Champe's Bethany Graham. Bethany suffered a stress reaction in her foot during the middle of the season and unfortunately it would not fully go away before the post-season.

Bethany Graham's Athlete Profile

Both Bethany and the coaching staff wanted what was best for her long-term running career and chose to shut it down until Outdoor Track season.

During this season Bethany won the Great Meadow Invitational title, the Pole Green XC title in a meet record 18:05, and the William & Mary Invitational title. En route to those victories she took down many of the highest ranked athletes in the state and looked primed for a big state meet.

Bethany is only a sophomore and will be back next year stronger than ever. We as well as everyone hope for a speedy and successful recovery.
