Bridget Fitzsimon: Going For Fifth & Sixth State Title

Paul VI's Bridget Fitzsimon is going for a historic fifth and sixth state title this weekend. Not only would it raise her title tally but it would also make it three in a  row for both the 55m dash and 300m dash indoors.

This weekend at the VISAA State Championships Bridget will be making an attempt at history. Per our findings, if she were able to pull this feat off she would join only Francena McCorory to win both the 55 and 300 for three years in a row. Meaning, regardless of classification, it is very hard to be this good and consistent for years at the state meet.

Bridget currently owns PR's of 7.36 and 41.34 in these two events. Her season bests are 7.40 and 41.85.  She ranks VA #1 in both events but shares the lead in the 55m dash with Bishop Sullivan's Layla Anderson
