This weekend is going to be electric at Roanoke College. Not only with the 3A/4A State Championships be going on but they will be streamed live as well. The action will be non-stop and will also feature some of the best athletes and deepest teams in the entire nation.
State Meet Pages & Performance Lists
Fighting for the team titles are quite a few teams but only four will reign supreme over their classification. In the 4A competition Loudoun Valley is the favorite on the guys' side and Blacksburg is the favorite on the girls' side. If they were to win that would be a repeat of the XC state finish. Chasing them are Deep Creek and E.C. Glass on the girls' side and E.C. Glass and LCA on the guys' side. With predicted scores in the 50s you can expect many of these teams to be looking for points in many places. That will certainly make this championship one about a team effort.
Virtual Meets
In the 3A classification things will be similar to that sentiment. Western Albemarle and Phoebus are the co-favorites in both with Christiansburg and Lakeland chasing on the guys' side and Heritage chasing on the girls' side. In both of these 3A title races the meet will certainly come down to the 3200 and 4x400m relay.
