Western Albemarle wraps up Loucks Games with 7:46 4x800, Stutzman wins 1600

The Western Albemarle boys continued a great weekend of racing at the Loucks Games in New Yorks by running the state's second fastest in the 4x800 meter relay in a school record and Group AA record time of 7:46.74. Western Albemarle made Blacksburg's 7:49 AA record performance two weeks ago at the MileStat.com Track Classic short lived and it could be a thriller at the Group AA State Meet if both teams load up.

However, Western could not celebrate a victory along with their fast time as they came up just short once again similar to their 10:01 DMR performance on Thursday with Liverpool as the 4x800 winners at 7:46.50. Western Albemarle's splits went as followed: Kyle Satterwhite 1:57, James Howard-Smith 1:56, Adrian Sitler 2:00, and Tyler Stutzman 1:52.

Anchor leg Stutzman was able to enjoy at least one win after two great relay anchors in claiming the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:09.86 and just missing the 20 year old meet record of 4:09.19.
