Will It Ever Happen?
Though no state meet director would say it will happen, or would a coach want it to happen, the VHSL most likely is not particularly in favor of it happening either. That being said, we predict before 2025 the meet will be held at a single venue.
Change is rough but with the growth of better venues comes more competitive pricing and options. People will want their athletes running on better tracks and in front of bigger crowds. The distance between factions will shrink and the entire state will be headed to one location.
Of course, that's just our prediction and it is a bold one considering no one has even hinted at that possibility nor has it happened in roughly the last 30 years.
