Collins and Sagar Compete at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – VMI's Kate Collins and Matt Sagar took part in events at the historic Penn Relays Thursday, as the meet continued at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

Collins was involved in the college division of the pole vault, as she finished in a tie for the 28th position. Her mark of 3.36 meters (11'0 ¼”) earned her the placing. Sagar was entered in the college division of the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and posted a 9:22.05 clocking to finish 11th.

VMI track and field will return to action Friday, as Chad Lawson and Cody Davis take part in the discus and shot put, respectively, at the next day of the Relays in Philadelphia.
