Virginia Intermont College's Fernando Cabada has been selected to compete for the US National Cross Country team that will compete at the NACAC Cross Country Championships March 6th in Clermont, Florida. Cabada earned the selection with his recent performance at the US World Cross Country Trials in Vancouver, WA.

The NACAC Cross Country Championships will feature national teams from North America, Central America and the Carribean including Canada and Mexico. The men will contest an 8k race on a 2k grassy European-style loop on the grounds of the National Training Center.

Cabada is the sole collegiate athlete selected for the team and will be joined by five other qualifiers from the trials.
