Interview: Tribble Set for Footlocker South

scrunners: How many times have you won the SCISA state title?
tribble: Three times for cross country.

scrunners: Explain how your 2005 cross country state meet weekend unfolded, from Friday to the race and after?
tribble: Friday we had homecoming so I went to the game and hung out with friends, and then I just went home and got in bed at about 11:15 or so. Then Saturday I got up and ate a little bit about two hours before the race and then went out and ran. After the race, I just cooled down with the guys and waited for the awards. We were pretty excited about the win.

scrunners: As for a your team, how soon did you know Ben Lippen won the team title?
tribble: I didn\'t know until a couple of minutes after I finished. Some people just told me they thought we had taken the title.

scrunners: Do you feel that you have accomplished all your goals so far this season?
tribble: I was fairly happy with the season. Some things could have gone better, but I was happy with the state meet time. Footlocker will be the true test though.

scrunners: When you received word that you have been chosen to run in the Shrine Bowl Run, did you make a decision on whether you will participate?
tribble: Not really, I thought it was an honor and said I would do it.

scrunners: What schools are you looking to attend in 2006?
tribble: I will be going to the University of Virginia. I visited the University of Texas, Duke, Virginia, William and Mary, and Georgetown. I enjoyed different aspects of each one.

scrunners: What factors have helped you make a decision about certain schools?
tribble: I had a difficult time choosing a school. It was a tiring process. I chose Virginia because it is a great school, has great places to run, the program is on the rise, the financial situation, facilities, and coaches.

scrunners: Being one of the top S.C. contenders this year, what would you like to achieve at Footlocker South on Nov. 26?
tribble: I have worked hard and plan to go up there and compete.

scrunners: Are you going to continue training once Footlocker ends for track or do you plan on taking a \"rest period?\"
tribble: I will probably take a week or two off. I get kind of bored without anything to do in the afternoons though so I won\'t be able to take it for long. I hate sitting around and wasting time.

scrunners: What meets and potential events does it look like you are going to run this track season?
tribble: Not really sure yet. I will probably do the usual S.C. meets and possibly add on a few more depending on the situation.

scrunners: Are you going to run any indoor meets?
tribble: There is a chance I might jump in one for the heck of it and to get some experience. I wouldn\'t try to peak for it or anything though. I have never run indoors.
