Virginia Tech High School Invitational Recap

While the eyes of most track fans in our state were on Winston-Salem, two North Carolina schools were turning heads in Virginia.  Wakefield's girls, already considered one of the best teams in the country, solidified their claim to outright #1 status with an amazing series of races Saturday afternoon.  Along the way, a Parkland girls' squad composed largely of freshmen and sophomores showed that they will be a force to be reckoned with over the next few years.  Take a look at the best performances from those two teams, and also from other North Carolina athletes:
