What looked to be a big meet this weekend at St. Christopher's this weekend with near 60 schools and just under 1,400 athletes was dramatically reduced in size and quality as few schools were allowed to travel for the second day of the St. Christopher's Invitational on Saturday after the first day was completely cancelled due to the winter storm system which affected most of Virginia. Western Branch was able to make the trip and navigate out of Chesapeake to Richmond and saw several strong performances from its athletes and relays including sophomore Tyson Robinson winning the 1000 meter run in 2:35.01. Western Branch also made a clean sweep of the sprint relays on both sides and Milan Parks uncorked a mark of 37'10.50" in the triple jump.
