The year the VHSL moved from three to six classifications was the same year that this epic streak started. When Libby Davidson crossed the finish line in first it started a chain of events that is still going today. In fact, in every state meet since that 2013 one, a freshman girl has reigned supreme against her older counterparts. This year could be the same story.

Pole Green XC Classic Virtual Meet: VA's Top Returners Opening Up in Huge Showdown Nolan Jez Sep 8, 2017

Virginia's biggest stars and teams have all seemed like they want to open up the season together. This big opener is of course being held where the regular season will end, at Pole Green Park. Even though they will not racing the MileStat upper course, they will still have some strong chances at breaking the hill course record with perfect weather in the forecast. From Roanoke to Newport News and even to Pennsylvania the big teams and individuals from Virginia will all be in action this weekend. Though we've had a couple weeks of the season it all really, like really starts this weekend. We at MileStat will be all over the state with updates and coverage and have this preview to get you ready for all the action ahead.

Newport News Invitational Virtual Meets Sep 6, 2017

Starting up the action in the 757 this season will be the Newport News Invitational. This huge meet will feature state champions and state champion hopefuls on the great Newport News Park course. We will have 2A powerhouse Maggie Walker, 5A superstar Jodi Tolarchyk, a deep and intriguing Western Branch boys' team, and many more. Check out the full virtual meet on the following pages.

This weekend cannot come quick enough. There will be fast times all over the state and hopefully we will see a bright and sunny weekend before a potential hit from Hurricane Irma.
