After some huge matchups this past weekend in North Carolina, many of the Great American & Wendy's top finishers will battle it out one last time before the post-season. This includes Dalton Hengst, Philip Lambert, and Karl Thiessen to name a few on the guys' side.
Expect a sub 15 from the winner because this race is going to be fast. Thiessen will want to hang around the top group and Lambert will look to drop the field while Hengst will want a kick to the finish. There will be a lot of variables to decide the title but you can be sure it will be fast.
On the girls' side Emma Wolcott is looking for a big win and potentially pr on the quick Winchester course. Her teammate Ava Hassebrock though could prove a tough competitor for her.
Team wise it should be interesting as well. West Springfield has flown under the radar for quite some time and now on a fast course we could see a huge jump in the rankings for girls' teams. Tuscarora still leads the teams but West Springfield could give some serious chase.
In the boys' team title race Tuscarora will be tough to compete with but could see a couple teams push them if not all of their runners have a good day. This will also be a great and hopefully fast showing for Abingdon who are a sleeper team in the 3A classification.
