I dont think so. Yes both those teams are good, however I dont think they have the depth to beat Western branch

cosby does have a shot at a top finishing in the top 6. look out for nansemond river even tho they lost a couple guys from the relay. i dont think either team will be able to stop western branch

The central reigon in past years has been relatively weak at states, especially in respect to the sprinting. But, to everyone's surprise, I think that we will come out and do a good job at states.

I hate to agree with the dawg, but no team around can beat Western Branch's depth. They can score points at the state level in almost any event. The only thing hurting them is the loss of State champion Kevin Newsome, as he is attending a prep school for football.

Cosby in indoor will be ok but im not sure about being in the top five are team is missing 3 people an 1 of them is a transfer an the other is not doing indoor. An henrico , not tryn to be mean but i doubt yall will place at states.

most likely based on last year it would be branch, River, an green run , we will be in the top probally

Cosby will have a hard enough time winning their district/region, let alone states. Their sprinters will do a good job, but I don't see where they will pick up enough points in distance, jumping and throwing. Even though Cosby was the outdoor track in Dominion last season, Manchester is the defending indoor champ and won't go down easy with their well rounded team. Cosby is also likely to fall to Douglas Freeman in the Central Region as Freeman is returning great distance from XC and strong sprinters/throwers from football. They were also both the Central Region champs in indoor and outdoor last year. Oh yeah, Western Branch for the three-peat. (This article was strictly about Boys, sorry ladies )

Yeh, unless we have a miracle I don't think that we will be placing in states either. States is Branches territory. I'm talking about regionals and districts. For the past few years our program has suffered multiple injuries and lack of participation. But this year everyone is healthy and ready to work.

I think 50ft might want to definitely add Varina to the 4x8 state suggestions and maybe to the 4x4 also. Our 4x8 came in third in the state last outdoor season.

Now that the boys program has been analyzed, what about the girls program. Does Landstown have enough power to repeat as well? Let's hear it!! 50ft should be a track analyst, I like his picks.

I have to brag about William Byrd's 1000m runners Caleb Kingery, Kyle O'conner. Drew Hall will also run the 1000m for us. They should have a good showing at states.

Rapid, keep in mind that just because a team has a harder time at districts and regions doesnt mean they wont do well at states. high scorers in certain events does more than team depth at the state level.

Yea, I think Manchester will do pretty well indoors this year. they have good sprints and ok distance. But if cosby wants to win districts then they'll have a tough time doing so.But I think at the regional and state meet cosby will do better and will probably beat manchester.
