I believe Bile will be under 4:05 Saturday. I also believe two or three will be under 4:00 on Saturday. Izaic Yorks, Edward Cheserek and Futsum Zeinassellasie will be pushing that 4:00 minute needle; I’m leaning toward Yorks winning the whole enchilada. Yorks has the same running style and body definition that Alan Webb had when he was in High School.
Annandale's Ahmed Bile has been selected to be part of the loaded high school Dream Mile field at the adidas Grand Prix in New York City this upcoming Saturday. Any predictions for what time Bile will run? Bile is currently ranked #8 all-time outdoors in VA high school history for the mile/1600. Can he move further up the list below? 1. 3:52.08c (3:53.43 mi) Alan Webb (South Lakes) 2001 2. 4:00.61c (4:02.01 mi) Sharif Karie (West Springfield) 1997 3. 4:04.28c (4:05.71 mi) Ibrahim Aden (Fork Union) 1992 4. 4:05.70c (4:07.13 mi) Seneca Lassiter (Lafayette) 1994 5. 4:06.91c (4:08.35 mi) Bobby Lockhart (Handley) 2002 6. 4:07.6h m John Hinton (Tunstall) 1980 7. 4:08.63c (4:10.03 mi) Martin Keino (Fork Union) 1990 8. 4:08.29 m Ahmed Bile (Annandale) 2012 9. 4:08.63c (4:10.03 mi) Anthony Kostelac (Albemarle) 2010 10. 4:08.89c (4:10.1 h mi) James Vogt (Stonewall Jackson) 1972
