Meet Information
You have been invited to attend our meet once again and we promise to provide you and your athletes with a quality event that we're sure you will enjoy. FAT will be used and all races are timed finals. Please adhere to the following guidelines to ensure proper entrance into our meet. The SAT reasoning test will be given here on that day. Please inform your athletes to use Lakeland High School with test center code 47-678 when they sign up, if they want the convenience of running in the meet following the test.
TIME: 9:30AM COACHES MEETING. 10:00AM FIELD EVENTS. 12:00PM RUNNING EVENTS.
FACILITY: Eight-lane polymer surface of chipped rubber with excellent jumping and throwing areas. Use only 1/4 inch spikes or less.
ENTRY FEE: $55.00 per team (boys or girls). $110.00 for boys and girls teams. $10.00 for individual entry. Make checks payable to Lakeland High School.
ENTRY LIMITS: Please limit your entries to only 2 athletes per individual event and only 1 relay per event. We will allow for scratches/replacements at the coaches meeting.
DEADLINE: Entries are due no later than Friday, April 26, 2001. You may fax your entries to us at (757) 925-5599, but please confirm its receipt with a call at school (757) 925-5530. Mail entries to Coach Greg Rountree at the above address.
DIVISIONS: There will be an A/AA and an AAA division for boys and girls with medals awarded for 1st-3rd and ribbons awarded for 4th-6th place finishers in each division. Trophies will also be awarded to the top two teams and to the MVP's in each division boys and girls.
NOTE: There will be no rain date. If the meet cannot go on, your money will be refunded, minus a $10 processing fee. Due to a large number of entries in the past, we are accepting only the first twenty teams in each division, so send your entries and check early. State verification forms will be signed and available on site. Spectators will be charged $2 entry fee at the gate and we will have hot food available in our concession stand for your convenience.
