Additional InformationBoo Williams Winter Break InvitationalDear Coach, We are pleased to invite your school to the 4th Annual Boo Williams Winter Break Invitational, on Thursday, December 29 & 30, 2011. The meet, which is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team, will be held at Boo Williams Sportsplex. Since we will be applying for a National Federation sanction all entries must be received by the December 8th entry deadline. Entries may close early due to large entries in the meet, so please enter early. Please read the information and entry sheet carefully. If you have any questions, please email me at BWSPindoor@gmail.com. Just a reminder, once an entry is accepted, the entry fee should follow. The fee is an entry fee and not a participation fee. A check or a purchase order is needed in order to compete the day of the meet. We look forward to you seeing you at the Sportsplex. Sincerely, Charlene Moore Boo William Sportsplex Indoor Track and Field Coordinator Coaches Instruction Sheet / Entry Procedure If you are already a “Team Admin” for your team, skip to step 2. Step One: a) Virginia Teams go to www. boowilliamssportsplex.com b) All other teams go to www.milesplit.us and navigate to your home page. c) Click on the “Teams” link, find your team and click the “Claim this Team: link on the right hand side of the page. Once you have done this and you get your email with approval, move to step two. Step Two: a) Go to the indoor 2011-2012 calendar page (va.milesplit.us/meets/calendar/2011/indoor) and register for the meet. b) Click on the green “Enter Online Now” link on the right hand side (example above) and follow instructions on how to enter. Make sure you are signed in with a username and password or you will not see the “ENTER ONLINE NOW” link. Step Three: a) Print out your confirmation of entry and mail with hard copy of entry to us. b) Submit copy of both confirmation and hard copy to business office All accepted entries will be listed on our web site at www.boowilliamssportsplex.com By Thursday, December 22nd. Boo Williams Winter Break Invitational - December 29‐30, 2011 Meet Information Meet Contact: Charlene Moore BWSPindoor@gmail.com. Awards: Top 3 Finishers will receive awards. Awards must be picked up on the day of the meet! Facilities: The Boo Williams Sportsplex has a state of the art 6 lane 200 meter Beynon BS‐1000 Track Surface with two long jump pits, one pole vault pit, one high jump pit and a wooden throwing circle. Spikes: ¼ pyramid spikes only – no needle or “Christmas tree” spikes allowed. A certified athletics trainer will be on staff for the meet. Tickets for spectators will be on sale at The Boo Williams Sportsplex $12 Adults 2‐day pass, $8 single day $6 Children 2‐day pass for children (under 12), $4 single day Meet programs will be on sale Entry: Will be limited to 2 entries per event. For the Invitational Section you may enter up to 2 athletes for the event. However, these are select races and only the top entries will be selected to compete in this event. “Elite” Relay will be the top 6 teams from each of the girls and boys 4x400m relay entries. 60m‐6 athletes 200m, 400m‐8 athletes 800m‐12 athletes 4x400 “Super Elite”‐ Top 6 relay teams LJ, TJ, and SP will contest of 3 attempts plus finals; top 6 performers will qualify for finals Only teams that have sanctioned indoor seasons will be allowed to compete in the High School Section. Middle School Elite are AAU sanctioned events. Athletes must be enrolled in grades 6th through 8th grade. High School Entry Fees - $12 per athlete - $30 per relay - $150 for 13 or more athletes per team Middle School Elite Entry Fees (AAU Sanctioned Events) - $10 per athlete - $20 per relay Online Entry will available at www.milestat.com Registration help: www.milesplit.us/pages/Online_Meet_Reg_Instructions Note that these instructions are on the US Portal and you will have to return to your state site to actually find your team and enter the meet.
