Northern Region Meet Summary
With wins from Theresa McCoy (40'2.50") in the shot put and Erin Klein (11:22.55) in the 3200 meter run as well as strength in depth across the board, the Lake Braddock girls successfully won their fourth straight Northern Region team title. The Centreville girls finished second with 80 points as Britni Finch led the Lady Wildcats with regional titles in the long jump (18'5.75") and 55 meter dash (7.30). Meanwhile, the Centreville boys (71 pts) only had one event winner with Jamalle Crowe's first place finish in the 55 meter hurdles, but were able to withstand James Robinson (66 pts) for the boys' team title. Robert E. Lee junior Sean Holston had an outstanding meet setting two meet records in the sprints with quick times of 6.38 and 34.60 in the 55 and 300 meter dashes. More to come...
