Hagan Stone Park Classic 2001

GREENSBORO, NC - Life without Alan Webb, has made things quiet around the South Lakes
squad and much less attention is focused on them. However, both the South Lakes boys and girls
squads seem to be doing fine without Webb as both are having one of their best seasons in recent
years.

The girls squad is much improved this year as they are currently ranked #10 in the state. At the
Hagan Stone Park Classic in Greensboro, the girls had their best meet thus far as they dominated
the meet to win by 39 point margin with 54 points. The boys squad finished 2nd in the meet with
95 points as South Lakes senior Richard Smith ran an outstanding race to place 2nd with a time of
16:11.
