We see states like everyone else, the penultimate event in our state. That being so, we made sure to send out our very best photographers this weekend and boy did they get some great shots! Check out some of their highlights and click the photos or link to see the full album and find your pictures.
Crisp grass and windy conditions greeted competitors at the VHSL 1A, 2A, 3A races today. Many fans, officials, and coaches sported winter layers and quite a few athletes raced in tights, compression sleeves, hats, and/or gloves. It was an exciting day of repeat champions on the individual and team sides. There were 5 harriers toeing the line to defend their 2013 titles: Julia Wood and Cliff Conley of 1A, Brad Swiney of 2A, and Bonnie Angermeier and Andrew Hunter of 3A. On the team side 1A Radford Girls and Galax Boys, 2A Maggie Walker Girls and Boys, and 3A US #1 Blacksburg Girls and Lafayette Boys all hoped to make podium climbs.
