Conference 26 Cross Country Championship Information

Coaches : It is imperative that we start on time,Dorey Park is a very busy park,and the traffic flow tends to increase after 4pm.ENTRY:Participation in the Conference Championship, each school can only enter a max of seven athletes.RULES:The Top 4 team will qualify for the regional Championships to be held in Woodstock Virginia,hosted by Wilson Memorial High School November 11,2014
REGIONAL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON-LINE THROUGH MILESTAT.COMDEADLINE:NO LATER THAN 12:00 MIDNIGHT ON WE WILL NOT USE A PAPER BACKUP THIS YEAR SO PLEASE FOLLOW ALL ON-LINE ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY.RULES:Cross Country section of the 2014 National Alliance Edition of Track & Field Rules.COURSE:5000 Meters (3.1 miles), mostly grass.(two loops around duck pond is paved) Flats or short spikes are recommended. The course is a spectator friendly course.The course will be well mark,the course is fast ,your kids on average will run faster on this course.MEET Boy's Record 19:03.00 Andre Daniels-Petersburg -2013 (Battlefield Park-Fort Lee)Meet Girl's Record 26:31.00 - Katlin Scott-Armstrong -2013(Battlefield Park-Fort Lee)COURSE:A map of the course is attached. The course will be well marked and easy to follow.TOURS:Teams and individuals are encouraged to tour the course before the day of the meet.NOTE:THE COURSE WILL BE CLOSED AT 2:45 PM ON RACE DAY AND NO FURTHER TOURING WILL BE ALLOWED.
ALL The first 15 finishers with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or better in each of the ACADEMIC Varsity Championship races will earn 2014 Conference 26 All- AcademicThe coach of the winning team in each of the two Championship races will be the COACH OF THE YEAR:.The top individual finisher in each of the two championship races will be designated RUNNER OF THE YEAR: CENTRAL REGION RUNNER OF THE YEAR.Dorey Park is located in Henrico County 2999 Darbytown Rd.
