The varsity boys race started in a blitz, with the leaders out around 2:10 for the first 800. Jonathan Lomogda led the way in 9:36 over the 2 mile course and led his Cox boys team to a very sound victory. Harrison Martingayle was second in 9:50 and help Princess Anne edge Great Bridge for second place.
In the varsity girls race Julia Lambert made a decisive move after the midway point and broke free of Doria Martingayle and Chandler Bergeron. Lambert went on to win in 11:36 and paced Norfolk Academy to victory. Martingayle and Bergeron both finished under 12:00 as well and paced their teams to second and third place finishes.
