Meet Information
The 2015-2016 4A East Regional Indoor Track meet will be held on Feb 18, 2016 at the Boo Williams Sportsplex (5 Armistead Pointe Parkway, Hampton, VA. 23666). The doors will open at 8:00 am.
This meet is only for athletes qualifying from Conference 17, 18, 19 &/or 20 meets. Top 6 athletes and top 3 relay teams from each conference meet, advance to this regional meet.
The Games Committee and Jury of Appeals will be composed of the conference meet directors (or their designee): Vincent Pugh, Conference 17, Patricia Oliver, Conference 18, George Stanley, Conference 19, and Shea Collins, Conference 20. The meet referee will be Chris McBeath. The meet director will be Dan Barner (Mel Jones & Don Mollenhauer (757)969-8321) from Lafayette (who will also be on the Jury of Appeals). If an appeal involves a team associated with a member of the Jury of Appeals, a substitute from the same conference will be assigned.
Scoring will include the top eight finishers in each event with the scoring being 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Only six individual athletes and the top six relay teams will qualify for the state meet based upon place. Athletes or relay teams having met the state standards will be advanced to the state meet.
Timing will be by (mantronixsports@gmail.com). Entries must be entered on MileStat by 11:59 pm on Sunday Feb. 14, 2016.
Any eligible athlete or relay team that have met these Regional standards in a certified meet will be eligible to compete in this meet. A school may have any number of athletes entered into an event within the Regionals, if ALL of the athletes have met these standards. Schools are only allowed one relay team, if standards are met.
