Burke Lake Park

Where: Burke Lake Park, Route 123 approximately 8 miles south of Fairfax
When: Wednesday, November 2, 2016
Time: Boys Varsity 3:00 p.m. Girls Varsity 3:40 p.m.
Entry and All entries should be received by Andy Muir at West Springfield High School no later than 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016. Entries must also be entered in
www.Milestat.com (Login and Password will be sent after conference championships). Entry forms can be found at WWW.VHSL.com
Entries: The top 4 teams (Boys/Girls) from each District. In addition, the top 15 overall finishers in each District race qualify.
Parking: All participants and patrons should park in parking lot "A" located near the small train.
Course: 2.98 miles, grass, road and trails.
Numbers: All participants must wear numbers on the front of their singlet. The numbers along with pins and other official materials will be distributed to coaches at the scorers table at 1:45 p.m.
Finish: The electronic chip system will be used to determine the champions, there will also be a video camera recording the finish line in the event of a computer malfunction. In the event that this is needed the championship may not be determined at the meet.
Awards: Medals to the first 3 places. Trophy to team runner-up and team champion.
Award The presentation of trophies, patches and medals will take place upon the official Presentation: meet results being available. This should be approximately 4:25pm
Lockers/ There will be no locker facilities available. Rest rooms are located at the Marina,
Rest Rooms one-half mile from the starting line. Team and managers are to clean their own areas in the park.
Qualification Top Six teams in each race (boys and girls) will qualify to State championships.
For States Top Ten individuals from each race (boys and girls) will qualify to the State Meet.
State Meet Details
Saturday November 12th
Coaches meeting at 10:00am Girls Race 10:30am Boys Race 11:15am
Coaches will need to send state entry forms to Andy Muir at Andy.muir@fcps.edu by the close of school on Friday October 28th.
11:00am Teams can start to arrive and set up tents on the facility. The same expectations are in place that we used at all meets held at Burke Lake with regards to location of tents and keeping area clean.
