The Chancellor Cross Country Invitational is now a partnered effort of Chancellor High School and Courtland High School Cross Country Teams. Both our Teams, Lucky Road Run Shop and Saucony would like to invite you and your team to participate in the 29th Annual Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 2, 2017.

The Invitational will be held on a beautiful grass, gravel and trail course at Loriella Park in Spotsylvania, VA. For the safety of the runners, some of the trails have been covered with very fine stone dust provided by Luck Stone. There will be mile markers every ½ mile. We hope that you have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you 2 September.

All entries must be done on:


A MAXIMUM of 50 RUNNERS per gender per High School Team, 30 per gender for Middle Schools.

Only 8th Grade Middle School Runners are allowed in Varsity Races.

Please do not enter a runner that cannot finish in the appropriate time. Check the schedule below.

Entry Fee:
$130.00 for one team (boys & girls are each a team) or $220.00 for two teams. For those schools entering less than full teams it is $19/entry.

Please mail your check to Cross Country Coach, Chancellor H.S., 6300 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22407 as soon as possible to arrive at Chancellor High School no later than Wednesday, 30 August, 2017. Also, checks can be provided in person to the Invitational Coordinator Ron Edington on race day with prior notification of intent.

Time Schedule:
7:45 a.m. - Coaches Meeting and Packet Pick-Up
8:45 a.m. – HS Varsity “A” Boys Race - Fast Race
9:15 a.m. – HS Varsity Girls Race
9:50 a.m. – HS Varsity “B” Boys Race
10:25 a.m. - Boys HS & MS Developmental Race
11:05 a.m. - Girls HS & MS Developmental Race
11:45 a.m. - Award Ceremony

Entries & Entry Minimum Time:
HS Varsity “A” Fast Boys Race – Limit 7 (26 minutes maximum allowed time – please run your fastest in this race
HS Varsity Girls Race – Limit 10 (30 minutes maximum allowed time – please honor)
HS Varsity “B” Boys Race – Limit 10 (30 minutes maximum allowed time – please honor)
Remainder of your Team, but not to exceed the 50 per Gender limit, in each of the Girls and Boys HS & MS Developmental Races.

*Race Timing Unlimited will be using Chronotrack Technology to provide electronic chip based results/scores for the race this year. Coaches shall return the Chronotrack Chip to Race Timing Unlimited at the completion of the race. Coaches will be billed $20 for each chip that is not returned.

**There will be concession stands on site as well as Chancellor Invitational T-Shirts for sale. In addition, Saucony will be on site to provide info and answer questions about footwear. Parking Information

Due to limited parking at Loriella Park, buses need to UNLOAD and LOAD in the Playground Loop at the end of the Park entrance drive. Buses are to depart Loriella Park, turn left at the Park entrance light, proceed to the next light and turn left again into the Battlefield Middle or Battlefield Elementary Schools. There is a Parking Volunteer present to direct locations. Restrooms for bus drivers are available at the 7-11 & Fast-Mart across the street or a 500 meter walk back to a Loriella Park restroom. Buses will not be allowed to leave the Middle School parking area until the Parking Coordinator staged in the Playground Loop is informed by the Team Coach wishing to leave that the team is ready for pickup. The Parking Coordinator will have on a Volunteer T-shirt and a Traffic Vest.

There is limited parking in Loriella Park, please inform parents and spectators that they should be prepared to park at the Battlefield schools, in the lot across the street behind the produce stand and along adjacent neighborhoods. We encourage attending schools to bus their runners. If a Parent must drop off their runner they should do so at the entrance to the park and stay clear of the bus turn-around area.

From South: Take I-95 North toward Fredericksburg. At exit 126A, take ramp right onto US-1 North/Jefferson Davis Highway towards Fredericksburg. After 3/4 mile, turn left onto Hood Drive. At the end of Hood Drive, make a left at the light onto Courthouse Road (VA-208 West). After a mile, make a right at the light onto Leavells Road (a 7-Eleven should be to your left on the corner). After ½ mile make a left at the next traffic light into Loriella Park. Buses proceed to the end of the drive near the Playground.

From North: Take I-95 South toward Fredericksburg. At exit 130B, take ramp right onto Route 3 West/Plank Road towards Culpeper. After 1.5 miles, make a left onto Salem Church Road (a Chic-fi-la should be on the corner). After a mile, Salem Road will change to Leavells Road (CVS on left far corner). Go through the intersection of Leavells and Harrison Road and make a right into Loriella Park on the right. Buses proceed to the end of the drive near the Playground.

Cancellation Policy: The Chancellor High School Cross Country Boosters Club will host the invitational rain or shine. There will be no refunds due to inclement weather. They reserve the right to postpone or reschedule the event in the best interests of our participants with no refunds.
