Eligibility: The conference track meet will be limited to 3 entries per event from each school except for relays. A school may enter more than 3 if all entries have met the conference standards. We will use the Conference VHSL verification form for all entries that can’t be verified on Milestat and those qualifying over the limit of three. The form is attached.
Entries: All entries to the conference meet must be entered online at Milestat. Entries close 5/13/2017. If you use hand times, they must be rounded up to the nearest tenth, adding .24. You must designate which are hand times. Scratches must be made by Monday, 12:00 noon, which is the declaration cut-off. We will follow the declaration rule for running events. You may scratch in a running event and still participate in following events with no penalty which also includes relays. However, if you are declared in your maximum number of events, you cannot scratch one of those and run in a relay. Please include your relay members and alternates on your roster. I will send out a performance list after all entries are in for corrections and confirmation. Once I have all corrections confirmed, I will seed the meet and send you a meet program with all flights and heats.
**(We will be using the VHSL Conference verification form. This will only be for hand times, performances not on Milestat, and qualifiers over the three person limit. The form is attached. Email that by entry deadline. The discus and 800 meter are left off of that. Just email those. )
Facilities: The East Rockingham track is 400 meters/8 lanes. The track surface is rubberized. The shot and discus circles are concrete. Flats or spikes may be used on the runways and track.
Weighing of shot and discus will take place at the track on Wednesday, May 21.
Admissions: Adults and K-12 students - $5.00 each. NO charge for pre-school children. State and Conference Activities passes will be honored. Programs will be sold for $1.00 each.
Athletes: All athletes must remain in the track area. Any athlete in the main school buildings at East Rockingham High School will be disqualified.
Awards: Trophies will be presented to the Meet Champions as soon as scores are validated. Individual awards will be given to the coaches at the conclusion of the meet. The top 3 finishers and top 2 relay teams will receive medals.
Scoring: Individual - (6 places: 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1) Relays - (6 places: 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1)
Concessions: East Rockingham High School will operate a concession stand and will sell drinks, candy and food items.
Regional Track : Coaches, please note the following: Region 2A East Track entries will be done on Milestat. Check the entry deadline and make sure you have all relay members and alternates on your rosters. The top 6 individuals and the top 3 relays will move on to the Region 2A East Championships as well as those individuals and relays that have met the Regional qualifying standards. Use the VHSL Regional Verification form for qualifiers not in the top 6 of the conference meet or those that can’t be verified by Milestat.
