Meet Information
Dear Coach,
The E. C. GLASS JUNIOR VARSITY INVITATIONAL track and field meet will be held at E. C. Glass track on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Field events will begin at 10:00 A.M. and the running events will begin at 11:30 A.M.
ELIGIBILITY: All athletes in the 8th and 9th grade are eligible to compete. In addition 10th graders can compete in any event in which they are not qualified to compete in their district meet (including relays of the same leg distance). In addition an athlete must be 16 years of age or less. There is a maximum of three individual team entries per event and one relay team per event. No jewelry (except one watch) will be permitted and if an athlete scratches or does not give an honest effort, he or she will be ineligible for further competition in the running events. You must enter by Direct Athletics.
This is a great meet to close out the season for your young athletes!
AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded to places 1-6 and a team trophy will be awarded to the winning teams.
EVENTS: All standard VHSL events will be conducted. We will abide by VHSL rules.

ENTRY FEE: Boys entry fee is $40 per team or $5 per athlete, whichever is less. Girls entry fee is $40 per team or $5 per athlete, whichever is less.
Checks should be payable to E. C. GLASS TRACK .
DEADLINE: Direct Athletics entries will open on Sunday, April 27 at 8:00am and close promptly at 8:00pm Monday, May 5, 2008. No substitutions will be allowed at the meet. ENTRY FEE SHOULD BE SENT TO: ROD CAMDEN, E. C. GLASS HIGH SCHOOL, 2111 MEMORIAL AVENUE, LYNCHBURG, VA. 24501.
