SUBJECT: Wrangler Invitational Track & Field Meet
The Wrangler Invitational Track & Field Meet will be held at Luray High Schools Bulldog Field. Individual track athletes can qualify for the state meet in an FAT meet with 5 or more teams participating. Thank you for accepting our invitation to participate. Your participation notice was received. We have at least 10 schools competing this year.
The meet is scheduled for Friday, April 13, 2018 beginning at 4:30 pm. There will be a coaches meeting in the field house at 4:00 pm .
An entry fee of $120.00 per team should be submitted with your entries. All entries should be entered on the Milestat Website. Go to the calendar, scroll down to the meet and click on Wrangler Invitational and the green online entry.
Entries should be posted on the milestat website no later than Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Should you have
questions concerning entries or issues with the milestat website, please contact Coach Steve Geiman at

Team Designation Forms can be filled out on site.
Entry fees should be sent to Luray High School at the address listed above. They can be directed to the attention of Tara Meadows (Coach) or Don Ehlers (Athletic Director).
T-shirts will be available for purchase.
A spectator admission fee of $3.00 will be charged at the gate. Programs will be sold for $1.00.
Team Championship (Girls & Boys) trophies will be awarded. Medals will be given to the top six places in individual events (6 places = 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1). Medals will also be given to the top 3 relays.
The events for the meet will include: shot, discus, long jump, triple jump, high jump, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, high (100 / 110) and intermediate (300) hurdles, 4x100m and 4x400m, and 4x800 relays. All events are FINALS. Three Varsity athletes may be submitted per individual team (boys and girls) for each event and one relay team (boys and girls) in each relay.
Our facility is a six lane rubberized track. Our long, triple and high jump runways are rubberized as well.
Sikes:
Your team should arrive dressed and ready to compete there are no changing facilities on site.
Bathrooms and concessions will be available.
There will be an athletic trainer on site.
In the event of inclement weather, we will run the Wrangler Invitational on Monday, April 16, 2018. The tentative start time will be 4:30pm.

* 1/8 pyramid spikes are preferred. pyramid spikes are acceptable. Only Pyramid or Christmas Tree spikes (also called compression tiered spikes) are to be used on the track for athletic activity. See diagram below:
