1st Annual Gloucester High School Cross Country Invitational

Dear Coach,
The GHSXCTF programs are proud to announce the 2018 Gloucester High School Cross Country Invitational to be held on October 6, 2018. The meet will be held at the Eastern State Hospital HS 5k course. We hope you can be part of this event and run on one of the best courses in Virginia.
Below is the anticipated schedule. You may enter your athletes on milestat.com and check for any changes as the meet approach.

9:00 AM - JV GIRLS 5K (8-10 grade) - Unlimited Entries
9:30 AM - JV BOYS 5K (8-10 grade ) - Unlimited Entries
10:00 AM - GIRLS - Varsity A 5k (9-12 grade) - 10 entries Max
10:40 AM - BOYS - Varsity A 5k (9-12 grade) - 10 entries Max
11:15 AM - GIRLS - Varsity B 5k (9-12 grade) - 10 entries Max
11:55 AM - BOYS - Varsity B 5k (9-12 grade) - 10 entries Max
Meet Information
Entry fee
The entry fee will be $6 per athlete. For teams the fee will be capped at $240.
The unattached runners will be charged $10. Entry fee checks should be mailed to Gloucester High School 6680 Short Lane Road Gloucester, Virginia 23061. ALL entry fees payable to GHS Cross Country.

Timing
All races will utilize chip timing. Race results will be posted as soon as available and ALL results will be sent to Milestat at the conclusion of the meet.
Registration
You may run up to 10 athletes in each "A" and the "B" race with unlimited entries in the JV race as long as they are in grades 8 to 10 ONLY. We will ask you to assign your athletes to a specific race; however, you will be able to moves athletes to a different race by visiting the check-in table at least 30 minutes prior to your team's FIRST race.
Entries for the race will be done on-line at www.milestat.com and will be due Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 by 11:00 a.m.
Check-in Table
The check-in table will be located behind the starting line. This is where you will pick up your packet and make any race day changes. Please stay clear of the finish line with your chips prior to the start of ALL races.
Switching Races
You will be able to move athletes to a different race after registration ends at 8:30 a.m. THE DAY of the race or email changes to jlperrin47@aol.com or lindsay.newell@gc.k12.va.us in advance to eliminate the number of race day changes. REGARDLESS of CHANGES we will start races according to THE FINAL time schedule.
Liability Waiver
Each team must sign a waiver prior to the start of the meet. The wavier will be in each packet.
Course Map

Parking
Event staff and volunteers will be assisting with parking throughout the meet. Event staff ONLY will be allowed to park near the finish line. Team drop offs will be allowed PRIOR to 8:00 ONLY.
Starting Line
There will be NO BOXES or ASSIGNED positions on the starting line. The starter will organize the groups prior to the start of the race.
Awards
There will be NoTeam Awards. The top (15) Individuals in all high school races will receive a Invitational medal when they Cross the finish line. T-shirts will be on sale by Martin Screen Printing
Medical Staff
A trainer will be provided for the meet.
