Additional InformationGENERAL REGULATIONS AND INFORMATION2003 VIRGINIA HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET PLACE: Great Meadow, The Plains, VA DATE: Saturday, November 8, 2003 MEET CO-DIRECTORS: Dave Davis, Forest Park High School and Ken Wall, Stone Bridge High School TIME SCHEDULE 10:30 a.m. A Girls 11:15 a.m. A Boys 11:45 a.m. AA Girls 12:30 p.m. AA Boys 1:00 p.m. AAA Girls 1:45 p.m. AAA Boys ADMISSION: $5.00 RULES AND SCORING: Cross Country section of National Federation Edition of Track and Field Rule Book (2002 Edition)Scoring (Rule 9 - Section 2). Coaches will not be permitted in the chute area. NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE, MOST OF THE COURSE IS VISIBLE FROM VIEWING AREA, BUT BINOCULARS HELPFUL. Violation of this rule will prompt disqualification of a school's participants. Coaches shall inform their athletes not to change position in the chute. Cards with numbers will be given to each team member and not individuals. Runners must remain in their same finish order until they are released and given a card at the end of the chute. Be sure to have your runner wear the proper "tear off" numbers on front of their shirts. UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT: Bring what you need. Participants are required to wear shirts with a meet number attached to the front. VHSL will provide numbers. Please provide complete and clean uniforms. Shoes must be worn; spikes may be worn.
