Charlottesville Dream Mile 2009

Boys Mile Winner - Taylor Gilland (Chapel Hill NC) 4:10   Girls Mile Winner - Joanna Stevens (Blacksburg) 5:01   Despite a poor weather day with persistent rainfall all day long, the Charlottesville Dream Mile was a well attended event not only by some of the state's best milers, but a great crowd of spectators who were enthusiastic in their support for their runners in rain gear and umbrellas. Charlottesville definitely can be considered as the Track Town of Virginia. All of the races had rabbits and exciting play by play announcing from Fork Union coach Winston Brown. The athletes received race t-shirts upon crossing the finish line courtesy of the Ragged Mountain Running Store.
