Robbins and Scott make easy work of competition at NN Invite

The Newport News Invitational showcased two of the state\'s best cross country runners in Woodside senior Derrick Robbins and Western Branch freshmen Aurora Scott. Robbins, a Group AAA state title favorite this fall, made easy work of the competition as he won in a time of 15:28. Scott showed that she can live up to all of the hype as she posted one of the fastest times ever recorded on the Newport News Park 5K course with a sizzling time of 18:09.
