Lee-Davis Invite: Moye 4:58/10:50 in outdoor debut, Snyder outduels Crawford in fast 800 MileSplit Staff Apr 17, 2011

After a busy first season of indoor track which included state individual titles in the 1600 and 3200 along with an All-American performance in the two mile, Megan Moye returned to racing action this spring at the Lee-Davis Invitational on Saturday. The Cosby junior Moye (pictured above by Stephen Slone) easily automatically qualified for state competition in the 1600 and 3200 meter run with a state leading time of 4:58.76 in the 1600 meter run after running a solid sub 11 minute time earlier in the meeto win the 3200 by 24 seconds. The boys' 800 meter run saw a match-up between two of the Central Region and state's best in the event between Cody Snyder of Lee-Davis and Keith Crawford of Huguenot. Crawford took the lead from Snyder, but Snyder responded with a strong close for a Virginia #1 time of 1:54.86, which is an open 800 PR for Snyder after running several 4x800 leg splits in the past with times similar or faster.     Lee-Davis Invitational Complete Results   Lee-Davis Invitational Photo Gallery by Stephen Slone
