Chancellor XC Invitational

The Chancellor High Cross Country team would like to invite you and your team to participate in the 31st Annual Chancellor Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 1, 2012. The event will be held on a beautiful grass and trail course at Loriella Park in Spotsylvania, VA. For the convenience of the runners and coaches, the trails have been covered with very fine stone dust provided by Luck Stone Corporation, Inc and there will be mile markers every mile. We are running the same course as the Region I Championship. We hope that you have a great summer and look forward to seeing you this fall.

Entry Fee: $80.00 for one team or $140.00 for two teams

8:00 a.m. Coaches Meeting and Packet Pick-Up
9:00 a.m. Varsity Boys Race
9:45 a.m. Varsity Girls Race
10:15 a.m. Boys Developmental Race
11:00 a.m. Girls Developmental Race
11:45 a.m. Award Ceremony
Entries: Race numbers provided by New Balance:
Ten in Boys and Girls Varsity Races
Unlimited in Developmental Races
*Race Timing Unlimited will be using Winning Time Technology to provide electronic chip based results/scores for the race this year. There will be a $10.00 charge per lost chip. We will need your athletes entered with name, gender, and class so that all entries are uniform. We prefer entries sent via email (nate@varunner.com) using an excel spreadsheet. However, they may be mailed or faxed (fax #: 540-786-1176) to Coach Nate Brooks. All info should be typed and legibly printed. We need entries (name, gender, and class) no later than August 24th, 2012.

**There will be concession stands on site as well as Chancellor Invitational T-Shirts for sale. In addition, New Balance and VA Runner, Inc. (a local specialty running and walking shop) will be on site with some apparel and spikes on sale.
Parking:
Due to limited parking at Loriella Park, buses need to UNLOAD, LOAD, and PARK at Battlefield Elementary or Battlefield Middle School. Coaches need to inform parents and spectators that they should park at the schools.
Directions:
From South: Take I-95 North toward Fredericksburg. At exit 126A, take ramp right onto US-1North/Jefferson Davis Highway towards Fredericksburg. After 3/4 mile, turn left onto Hood Drive (a Pizza Hut should be on the corner). At the end of Hood Drive, make a left at the light onto Courthouse Road (VA-208 West). After a mile, make a right at the light onto Leavells Road (a 7-Eleven should be to your left on the corner). After mile make a left at the next traffic light into Loriella Park. Proceed to the Swimming Pool parking lots.
From North: Take I-95 South toward Fredericksburg. At exit 130B, take ramp right onto Route 3 West/Plank Road towards Culpeper. After 1.5 miles, make a left at the 5th traffic light onto Salem Church Road (a Chic-Fila should be on the corner). After a mile of traveling (through 2 traffic lights), Salem Road will change to Leavells Road. Go through the intersection of Leavells and Harrison (third traffic light), and make a right into Loriella Park (fourth traffic light). Proceed to the Swimming Pool parking lots.
Cancellation Policy: The Chancellor High School Cross Country Boosters Club will host the invitational rain or shine. There will be no refunds due to inclement weather. They reserve the right to postpone or reschedule the event in the best interests of our participants with no refunds.
