The girls 4xmile placed third to Saratogo H.S. in NY and Midlothian (VA) at the Nike Indoor Nationals to earn All American honors. The 4xmile All Americans are Cate Berenato, Laurel MacMillan, Allison Homer, and Ariel Burbey.
Annie Grant's goal of finishing top ten happened but she also hung on to a sixth place finish to earn All American honors.
The girls 4x800 shattered the school record again and missed All American honors (top six) by .08 seconds. 4th through seventh ran 9:33. The school record was 9:45 at the start of the season (a team that won state).
The girls 4x400 also qualified but didn't have a very good performance. The state runner-ups had two tired legs with Annie Grant and Ariel Burbey and two fresh egs with Megan Rhodes and Hayley Rhodes. The Rhodes sisters could have probably used a tune up race after a week of soccer and Grant and Burbey were simply tired after several events.
Ariel Burbey and Cate Berenato also competed in the open 800 with okay times of 2:19 (Burbey) and 2:21 (Berenato).
The boys qualified in the 4x800 with their schoolrecord time from the state meet. The boys placed 24th. Andrew Givens and Peter DiSalvo also qualified in the open 800 and ran 2:03 and 2:04.
