Reminder to all coaches that the deadline to enter your team at this year's McDonald's Maymont X-Country Festival to be held on September 29th and 30th in Richmond, Virginia is approaching. The final day to enter your team is next Friday, September 8th. The meet will have huge Nike Team Nationals impliciations with a dozen squads set to compete with NTN Southeast preseason rankings. Teams from ten different states and the District of Columbia will be coming into Richmond to face off with Virginia schools. However, the "Maymont experience" is not exclusive to elite teams but to all participants, coaches, and spectators with free t-shirts to all participants, live bands, and overall fun time.

Important Information
- Once received, entry fees are non-refundable. Any scratches made after payment has been submitted will not result in any refunds.
- All NFHS competition and sanctioning rules are in effect.
- If entries warrant it, an additional unseeded division will be added to precede the Invitational division and the Invitational and Gold divisions will be bumped back.
- Placement of teams in divisions will be the responsibility of the Maymont Festival and placements will be final.
- In the Gold, Silver and Bronze Divisions, approximately 30 teams will be placed plus selected individuals to total no more than 230 athletes.
- In the Invitational Division, approximately 15 teams plus selected individuals will be invited to total no more than 165 athletes.
- Teams may nominate both an “A” and a “B” team for each division except the Invitational Division and will be scored separately.
- Entries will be accepted at www.directathletics.com during the entry window of August 1st through September 8th at Noon. All fees are due by September 20, 2006. All athletes will receive a festival tee-shirt.
- All division assignments will be listed at www.sportsbackers.org and www.milestat.com at 12:00 noon on September 22, 2006.

- The High School event is sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the Virginia High School League (VHSL). Sanctioning is being requested for Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina and West Virginia.
