A familiar face and important figure at high school track meets in Virginia for many years, especially in the Roanoke Valley area, has passed away with long-time William Fleming track coach Rudy Dillard passing away at the age of 66 this past week following an apparent heart attack. The William Fleming track team has produced many great athletes, relays, and teams over the years. A steady force and big contributor to that success at Fleming was Coach Dillard and his years of dedicating his time, energy and life to the student-athletes in the sport.
