The VA #4 ranked Patriot boys were the top finishing team from Virginia at Maymont as runners-up behind Maryland state champions Severna Park with four guys under 17 minutes on the tough Maymont Park 5K course and able to defeat VA #3 ranked Chantilly, who ran well without their #2 runner Dakota Lange (missing due to grandfather's funeral) to grab 4th place at Maymont. Despite missing their #5 runner Andrew Derstine as well at Maymont, not ready to jump the Patriot boys ahead of Chantilly when factoring in Lange to be back in Chantilly's lineup for their next meet. Meanwhile, the Robinson boys have taken over the #1 ranking after being the top ranked pre-season squad following a strong 3rd place showing at the Carlisle Invitational in Pennsylvania behind two nationally ranked teams in West Chester Henderson of Pennyslvania and Tatnall of Delaware.
