  • Osbourn Park's Nick Causey and Lake Braddock's Alex Corbett battled it out for 7 laps before Causey put the hammer down for a 4:20.08 victory with Corbett holding for second in 4:21.35, which are the top two fastest times in Virginia in the 1600.
  • Coming off racing at Foot Locker Nationals in San Diego last weekend, Mackenzie Haight of George C. Marshall won the boys 3200 in a state best of 9:21. NXN individual qualifier Tommy Mulroy of Midlothian was 2nd in 9:36.

Girls Highlights

  • Macey Schweikert of James Robinson, last spring's Group AAA 1600 meter champion, had a strong indoor debut race with a US #4 10:57 3200 leading from wire to wire.
  • Kelly Hart of Yorktown achieved the state auto time for 5A girls in the 1600 with a 5:17.46 victory.
