Cream of the Crop Boys from the South (9/3)

Andrew Hunter is nuts! Crazy fast! A Virginia 3-time 3A state champ as a sophomore and 16th in last year's Foot Locker South Regional, Andrew Hunter is ready to make the jump to become a Foot Locker regional champ after a breakthrough outdoor season. His spring included two signature moments onto the national stage with a Penn Relays 3K win and national sophomore class record along with a New Balance Nationals two mile runner-up finish.

Made a big jump in outdoor with Penn Relays 3K champion (8:16) with national soph class record along with national runner-up finish in New Balance Nationals 2 mile (8:53). A 3-time Virginia 3A state champion with 15:09 5K best.

Defending North Carolina 3A state champ (15:07 5K PR) now at new school with two fast times to start season (15:19 & 15:10). 4:13 1600 and 9:03 3200 on track.

29th @ Foot Locker Nationals
Qualified for both national races (Foot Locker & NXN) in fall of 2013 with a 14:51 5K best from the South Regional race. The 3-time Oklahoma state champ ran a 4:12 mile & 9:10 3200 in the spring.

12th @ 2013 Foot Locker South
Just missed Foot Locker Nationals last year with a 15:01 PR at McAlpine. Won his first Tennessee state title in the spring with a 4:10 PR race, while also clocking a 9:07 3200 on the track. Ran two 4:10 miles in post-season including 9th at New Balance Nationals.

69th @ 2013 Nike Cross Nationals
The 3-time Arkansas state champ missed most of the outdoor season, but is the defending NXN South Region champ and just missed a trip to San Diego at Foot Locker South (13th, 15:03 PR). Ran 4:22/9:22 indoors.

14th @ 2013 Foot Locker South
An 8-time Georgia private school state champ. Finished last fall with a top 15 finish and new 5K PR of 15:08 at McAlpine. Ran track PR's of 4:19 1600/9:20 3200 with competition at FSU Relays.

79th @ 2013 Nike Cross Nationals
Florida's top performer last fall winning state title and qualifying for NXN. Focused on the 1600 in the spring working his time down to a 4:16 state runner-up PR. Ran well into the 15's for 5K in half a dozen races last fall.

1st @ WNC Carnival
One of most consistent performers in North Carolina. Solid opener to start 2014 season, while NC 4A state runner-up in 15:08 PR and top 20 finisher at Foot Locker South in 2013. Indoor and outdoor state champ in 3200 (9:11 PR).

Solid showings at end of 2013 XC season, but really took off during track season as the Texas 5A state runner-up in 3200 (9:07 PR) along with a 4:17 1600.

1st @ Wickerham Park Jamboree
Not running for school this season, so will be running unattached during season and hopefully post-season HS meets. During summer, won AAU Club titles in 3:59 1500 and 8:38 3K. Ran 15:23 5K last week.

Leads US top 10 ranked squad. Ran 15:17 5K and 9:15 on track in spring. Two years of racing experience at Nike Cross Nationals.

Top returnee from Texas at 2013 Foot Locker South. Nearly broke 15 minutes for 5K on track (15:01) to go along with a 9:13 PR in the 3200.

A two-time Virginia state runner-up and #1 for US top 25 team. Ran 5K PR at season's end w/ 15:26 at NXN Southeast. 4:17 1600 and 9:15 3200 PR's run at end of outdoor season.
