What schools did you consider for your post-high school plans?
Some other colleges I was considering were University of Missouri-Coloumbia, University of Nebraska-Omaha, and Kansas State.

What ultimately led you to commit to Liberty University?
I chose Liberty because once I visited the school and spent a couple nights there with the team/coaches, I could totally picture myself going to school there. The people were so welcoming and friendly and I love the mission statement of the school.

Has the coach at Liberty given you any indications of what event or events you might be specializing in as a collegiate athlete?
I know I will be running cross-country, as far as track events I'm not sure. I will probably be running longer events like the 3K or 5K...maybe the 10K?

Have you identified a major or area of study?
I am an undecided major right now, but I might be interested in Family and Consumer Sciences or Business.

What is your favorite HS memory as it relates to cross country and track?

My favorite memory of high school running was the first time my team went to Nike Heartland Regional meet.  Our team qualified to go to nationals in Portland, OR and we never thought we would make it...we almost left after the race which means we would have missed awards!

What goals do you have for your remaining high school track season?

I am in Nordic skiing right now which is really fun but cold (haha)...my goal for this track season is to make it to state with my 4x800m relay team!

What are your goals for your collegiate career?
My goals for college are to be the best runner I can be by training hard (I haven't really thought about times yet) and to help out the team as much as I can!

What advice would you pass on to an athlete trying to make their college decision?
Advice I would pass on is to choose a college where you will feel at home and find people with the same values as you.  Also don't make your decision only based on the sport-make sure you love the school and make sure it has the right major that you want, because athletics is not your whole life.
