VOTE! 20+ Best MileStates Performances (Voting Ends Friday @5pm)

Vote here on what was the best performance of the 2015 MileStates Championships.

Grant Holloway (Grassfield)

Scored 44 Points @6A State

There is no better way to start this list then with Grant Holloway. He personally scored 44 points at the 6A State meet by winning the 110h, 300h, high jump, long jump, and placing in the 200. Though his performances all were great, his biggest one was the long jump where he leaped to a two foot pr of 25-9. To do so he had to go through Quincy Watts who broke the meet record with Grant a total of 4 times back-to-back!

Meredith Willis (George Wythe)

Scored 48 Points @1A State

Speaking about scoring a lot of points, Meredith Willis did some work again this year only months after a season ending injury indoors. She won four more titles to go along with her five titles last outdoor season and didn't even hurdle this year! Those points, just like Grant's helped lead her team to a state team title.

Shanthi Hiremath (Maggie Walker)

Scored 48 Points @2A State

Equalling that point total a classification higher was Shanthi Hiremath of Maggie Walker who also totaled 48 points, including victories in the 100h, 300h, triple jump, and pole vault. Her lone non-victory was a 4x400 runner-up spot. Shanthi was the Green Dragons' highest scorer of the meet and helped bring home another team title to Richmond.

Hakeem Horton (I.C. Norcom)

Scored 52 Points @4A State

Scoring the second most points of the state championships was Horton who tallied up 52 points at the 4A state meet. Against tough competition he was able to bring these points home by winning the 300h, high jump, and triple jump while placing second in the 200, 110h, and third in the long jump.

DaJuan Seward (Brunswick)

Scored 53 Points @2A State

Scoring the most points, once again, was Brunswick senior DaJuan Seward. To bring home these points DaJuan won the long jump (23-6.5), triple jump (48-7), 110h (14.22-winning by a full second), and the 300h (38.60- winning by two full seconds). He finished in second in the high jump losing by a tie-breaker at 6-3 and then finished 4th in the 200m dash.
