MileStat Invite On A Hydraulic Banked track!?

LYNCHBURG, Va - MileStat.com's Senior Editor Nolan Jez is excited to announce another great meet to the MileStat.com schedule. This meet will be one of, if not the, first meets to ever be held at Liberty University's new indoor track complex. This new complex will feature a 200m hydraulically banking track, a nine lane sprint straight inside of the oval, double jump runways, double high jump pits, a shot put ring, and pole vault runway inside of the oval.

This facility will rival every single facility in the nation and be on the level of the famous NYC Armory!

This meet will feature not only the best talent in the Commonwealth of Virginia but the nation as well. If all of that wasn't good enough, it will also be streamed LIVE on the entire MileSplit network joining meets such as New Balance Indoors and The Penn Relays with that honor! Though it will be an elite meet, it will also be a great opportunity for all athletes in the state to compete as there are no entry standards or limitations for this Showcase. To make this meet both a great participation meet and elite meet we have created "Invitational" sections of nearly every event. Those events will be either the top couple sections of each event or the top ranked individuals based on entries. Invitational events will be run on time.

MileStat welcomes every athlete and would love to see the entire state at this great meet!

This new Liberty University facility will be located just under the "LU Monogram". It is slated to be completed in the late Fall/early Winter of 2016.

More about the track: This track is going to be the best our state has ever seen and one of the best facilities in the entire nation. It will have double pole vault and jumping pits as well as nine lanes for sprinting and hurdles inside of the oval. This will be for the 60m and 55m distances. It also will have a 50'x100m second level team overlook on the back stretch. This overlook will run nearly the entire length of the facility and enable teams to watch all the action from above.

Under that overlook (it will also be on the back stretch side) will be a 100m long warmup surface that is a softer rubber for injury prevention!
